Our Vision is to see a healthy, educated, self-sufficient community in Malawi.
Our Mission Statement
- Promote educational facilities for all children in the community
- Enhance the ability of the community to become self-sufficient
- Ensure care of orphans and vulnerable people affected by HIV/AIDS
- Provide fresh water and sanitation
We are supporting around 3,000 orphans in their villages. We support 13 centres in an area about 15km by 20km north west of the Capital, Lilongwe.
We are dedicated to helping children, whose childhoods have been suddenly taken away from them, due to illness, poverty and the HIV/AIDS pandemic. The amount of these affected children is incredible. A generation is slowly being eliminated, leaving the elderly to take care of the young
The Landirani Trust is a registered charity formed to give life and hope, to a small part of Malawi, the 'Warm heart of Africa'.

Latest News from Malawi
October 2009
We had a celebration to mark the opening of the two new school blocks. This celebration was extremely well attended by children and Head Teachers from all the schools in our area of support. There was some fantastic singing and dancing and a speech from the Minister of Education. The Headmaster of Namanyanga was so happy that day and walked straight into one of the classrooms and wrote up on the black board "Welcome to Namanyanga School". It was a fantastic day and everyone there is really looking forward to meeting the Project 4 Africa team when they go out there later this year.
September 2009. Two school blocks now completed!
