Drums for Chimbudzi

Fundraising event in Kingston

We had an amazing night on Saturday 5th July.

A night of African drumming, dancing, BBQ, photographic exhibition,
auctions and the grand raffle draw.

We raised over £1350 and had such a brilliant night.photo       photo      photo

A big thank you to Kate and Trevor for all their hard work in organising it
and making it run smoothly on the night.
The biggest thank you to the drummers Sam, Paul, Kev, Phil and Mark
for making it such an amazing lively atmosphere.
Huge thanks to Gaynor and Nicky for their beautiful photos that show a glimpse
of the amazing people in Malawi.
And finally to Eileen, Heather, Ayse, Judith, Wendy, Nora and Gaynor
for making such amazing food to accompany the BBQ so masterfully run by Trevor!

All the money raised from this event will be going to put eco toilets (chimbuzi) into the villages.
The premise of these toilets is that the waste is used as compost to produce rich, healthy food.
